Currently they only have their permanent residents there, which include barn owls, foxes, a pig, and birds of prey. However, very soon, with baby bird season beginning and the opening of the hospital there will be a huge influx of new animals requiring care and attention which means lots of volunteers are needed to look after them!
It's amazing how few permanent volunteers they have in but manage to keep everything going. I can't wait to go back and see the animals again and I'm really looking forward to having the opportunity to look after vulnerable animals that wouldn't survive without the sanctuaries help!
If you want to get involved with helping native animals then I would definitely tell you to try volunteering. It gives you a great reward for just a few hours work!
To get involved with Lower Moss click here and put your subject as volunteering. Good luck
